Old Titan
thanks for the info on the schedule. any new info on how the scholarships will shake out? Haven't heard anything definitive - the same couple of new guys we've been talking about this summer must get their academic stuff in order in the next few weeks, or else they will not be around this season. theeagleman5
Gonna be tough for ORU to be .500 in the non-conference schedule......but then again....TheEagleman thought the same thing last year.....a lot will depend on how these new kids like Glover, Jackson and Billbury mesh with the old guard....also looking forward to seeing the new physique of DBH..... OKC Eagle
Come on schedule! Some of us are trying to plan a New Orleans road trip.
theeagleman5
Memphis during the holidays?....nice....maybe that game will be on TV somewhere and we can sneak up and catch the Tigers napping after having too much Christmas turkey..... Old Titan
Yeah, most folks will have their schedules released in the next few days: Pacific just released theirs, and we play in Stockton on Monday, Nov. 19th before heading up to Anchorage for the Great Alaska Shootout beginning that Thursday. Great bit of scheduling there on the part of the coaching staff, scheduling that mandatory BracketBuster return game as a tune-up for the Alaska trip, and thus avoiding two West Coast trips in one season. Bogus Smith
Arizona's schedule is out, too and it shows us in Tucson on Tuesday, December 18.
theeagleman5
That's gonna be a tough four game road trip out west in November.....wonder what kind of team Pacific has this year?....and we open the Alaska tourney vs. Loyola/Marymount.....are they any good?..... Old Titan
UTEP released their schedule this week: ORU is their season and home opener, and they too play Arizona, in their following game on Nov. 15th: UTEP Unveils 2012 Men's Basketball Schedule (KDBC.com)
theeagleman5
Only 3 months away.....sounds like UTEP will be ORU's regular season opener.....TheEagleman can't wait.........
Old Titan
Missouri State has yet to officially release their schedule, but our game in Springfield will be on Saturday, December 1st.
Bogus Smith
Missouri State has yet to officially release their schedule, but our game in Springfield will be on Saturday, December 1st. Simple math: Springfield + Saturday, December 1 + ORU basketball = Road Trip
theeagleman5
Sounds like not too many home games prior to Jan. 1 for ORU.....this young team is going to log a lot of miles......
Bogus Smith
Sounds like not too many home games prior to Jan. 1 for ORU.....this young team is going to log a lot of miles...... Home games the first two months: 2 Exhibition games, 1 non-D1 game, OU, Tulsa....have I missed anything?
theeagleman5
Ouch....that's pathetic, Bogus.....not very much there in Nov-Dec for the season ticket holders.....does ORU really need the $$$ that badly to play all those road games?....I understand that some of them are required return matches but most are not....we should be playing at least 5-6 home games prior to the new year.....but then again, TheEagleman isn't a season ticket holder and can't complain....but YOU can.....
