Hopefully this will be another routine win for the ladies tonight! Detti Balla has had a coming out part over the past few games, shooting the ball very well and limiting her turnovers. Good to see Jaci back to form again. She has shown that she is still very capable of putting up double figure points on a nightly basis while dishing out some SICK assists.

The girls have really shown that they know how to win close basketball games this year. They aren't settling for outside shots and using the shot clock in their favor. It is great that we have officially beaten every team in the league the last year in the league. How much better would it be to take the tournament title on the way. Something that they would NEVER be able to take from us!

Have been watching/listening to the game on the internet ... The announcers for Oakland have been very good at analyzing ORU's team and performance -- very complementary. They can not seem to say enough good things about Luper ("it's worth being here just to see her play"). She has had a super first half with great shooting and rebounding. 16 Points and 6 of 10 overall, and 3 of 5 on 3-point shots. When she doesn't force her shots, she has been deadly. 39-26 ORU ahead at the half. We are out rebounding Oakland - 19-16. We have put up a bunch of 3's over the last 10-minutes of the half, and are 6 of 15 for the half. Our defense has been pretty intense, contributing to Oakland's 9 of 26 shooting. If we can continue to play tough in the second half, we can send the OU seniors home with a loss on senior-night. But, it is a road game, so anything can happen. This would be a good game to reinforce that "put them away" attitude that coach Fink has been trying to get them to do...

ORU rolling 54-35 with 11 minutes left.....Kevi with 23.....looks like a road sweep this weekend.....nothing wrong with that.....the ladies needed to right the ship as we head to Sioux Falls and they appear to be doing just that.... :nerd:

Final Score: ORU WIN - 77-51. ORU had command of the game throughout, even the last few minutes with the reserves playing. Luper got 27 Points, 8-Rebounds and 2-Steals -- 11 of 20 shooting. For awhile it looked like she might get a double-double. Georgia had a really sound game, too (4 for 8 on 3-point shots)! Balla looked like she is getting very comfortable on the floor, and she was pretty impressive, too with 16-points. ("the Southland Conference is going to have 3-years of problems dealing with Balla" -- OU announcers). It was a good team-effort overall. Solid, hard defense played. The 3-point shooting was not great (9 of 27). Overall shooting was about 45%(30 of 67). But, I'm sure coach Fink will be happy with the overall play. It was a great game to watch ... NO SUSPENSE during the 2nd half!

We should get that 20th Win with a game at SUU ... a not very good team.

That's an impressive road win. Becky Francis is a class act, and the Oakland ladies are always a tough opponent - to beat them so soundly speaks volumes.

Could it be that, around tournament time, Jerry once again has his team playing their best basketball?

i think the key to winning 3 in Sioux Falls will be Balla. ORU must have an inside game.
