ORUTerry
Is Harris a 2013 recruit? I agree that he would be a nice player to get. Can always use a shooter.
ORUalum
Roderick Camphor http://twitter.com/#!/RodCamp10 "Like 10 offers for D2. But I got Oral roberts and gardner webb looking at me." "already. But oral roberts it look like.. But idk yet. About to take all my visit next month"
ORUTerry
Dunbar High School in Baltimore is (or at least was) a good program. Camphor seems to shoot well (48% from the field - 38% from the 3-pt line & 80% free throws) and averages 2.3 assists per game - he also averaged more than 3 turnovers per game. ORUTerry
Highland Community College - Men's Basketball Link Highland, Kansas is in far northeast Kansas. Talk about remote. It is as far from Baltimore as you can get.

ORUTerry
Players can sign letters of intent beginning Wednesday, April 11th. It will be interesting to see who (if anyone) we sign. I suspect we are trying to sign another point guard - but so is everyone else in the country. Will we leave a scholarship open so we can accomodate anyone wanting to transfer to ORU? Is Sean Sutton able to recruit or is he a 'restricted' assistant coach? It will be interesting to see if Barry Hinson makes a run at Kyan Brown given their long history together. (Kyan played for Barry at ORU and then was an assistant coach for Hinson at Missouri State.)
darrenj
Sean can be on the road also. Would really like Kyan to stay as he fits the staff very well.

ORUTerry
Before he chose Gonzaga last year, his other schools included Colorado, TCU and Tulsa.
Old Titan
Actually, ORU was in on Spangler early, before he started to draw the attention of the big boys. I'll bet he ends up at OU - if not there, then maybe Tulsa.
ORUTerry
Oklahoma is a natural choice. They need the talent. Not sure Tulsa has the open scholarship.
darrenj
TU may have an open spot in a day or 2. Would be nice to get another high quality transfer.

Old Titan
Curious first signing for new TU coach Danny Manning, who received a commitment Monday from Kansas City 2-guard Shaquille Harrison: Manning Gets First Commitment (Tulsa World) Curious because it's mentioned in the article that the Lee's Summit West H.S. product was offered scholarships by three mid-major D-1 schools and "was being recruited by Oral Roberts and Drake". Which sounds like we never offered him, even though he's a senior who was available in both the fall and spring signing periods. And, we pretty much offer EVERYONE, if they can play a lick. Perhaps the fact this guy shot in the low 20-percent range from "3" his senior year might have something to do with that. Just sayin': the last TU coach who made a habit of signing guys that we passed on, got fired two years later (John Phillips). P.S. This guy is not to be confused with Shaquille Morris, 6'8" space-eater from Edmond Santa Fe, who is a 2013 prospect that we (and a lot of other people) HAVE offered. ORUalum
It will be interesting to see how TU fans spins this. They beat out Miami-Ohio, Tenn State, and Northeastern to land Harrison. It sounds like the former assistant at Mo State fell in love with the guy, but could not convince the HC to offer.
darrenj
Not TU good right now. Going to be a long year for TU if Clarkson is gone in a couple of weeks. Maduka is done with BB also. That team won't win 12 games next year without Clarkson.
