Great article - and even greater player/young man. I absolutely love his quote about ORU and how much he loves the school. What a great ambassador.

Glad to see DoMo getting the love.

That said, let's not overlook possibly the most unsung hero of this team....Michael Craion. That dude does SOOOOO many little things that are easy to overlook. Possibly the best hands I have ever seen on the basketball court. And, in the dictionary, next to the phrase 'court savvy' is a picture of Mike.

I agree with you Voice - Craion is a big part of the 'machine'. Opponents make a big mistake when they bring the ball down low against him because he will get his hands on it. Mike makes our press hard to handle because of his quick hands and nose for the ball. He always seems to be in the right place.

As almost always happens in situations like Domo's, it requires everyone working smoothly and efficiently to allow Domo's star to shine. In many ways, coming off his redshirt year and needing to knock off a little rust early in the season, Mike's rise as the season has progressed has paralleled Domo's. Without a doubt, Craion is playing his best ball of his ORU career right now, right beside Domo playing his best. A very solid one-two punch.

What a great story on Domo and for ORU. I hope that somebody gets this into Dr. Rutland's hands this week. The Eagles produced a great recruiting night for the school on Saturday (a lot of high school kids and their families were in town interviewing for the Whole Person scholarship last weekend) - and this article is another positive endorsement of ORU. There are probably a lot of good kids in college athletics, but most of the news is about the ones at the other end of the spectrum. Nice to see a story about a good guy like Domo, and that picture communicates a ton.

And agree with the positive comments about Michael. He plays BIG and quick. He is making good things happen when he touches the ball, and love his offensive rebounds this year. We are really going to miss those guys - but that is next year. We don't have to go THERE yet, so CARPE DIEM baby.

For lack of a better explanation, I have actually been WORKING during the day, which previously afforded me the most opportunity to post on my favorite board, but I couldn't help not commenting on this topic because it's been a special few weeks of late, not to mention a great 4 years.

This is a great article and sheds alot of light into what makes ORU a special place, not only for athletes, but for the fans. One would be hard-pressed to find many places in this country where kids, parents, students can interact, get to know the athletes and feel a part of the sports programs in the capacity that you can at ORU. That is a tribute to the coaches, staff(s), people like Mike Minyard and the athletes themselves.

Having been one of these countless years ago and now a parent, I find it hard to go a week or from one sporting event to another where I don't wish I could go back and have spent more time doing things different (spending more time with kids etc). This typically isn't a priority for 18-21 year olds and for most people in their day to day jobs. When I watch a game, practice or attend an event and look at it through my kids eyes, I get it and I only wish I had of sooner. These guys and coaches are like Michael Jordan to the kids and often times to the parents and fans. To have the opportunity to meet them, grow with them over 3-4 years is priceless.

I have had the privilege to get to know DoMo somewhat more than just watching in my seat and it's so nice to see this guy getting the national and local attention he deserves. Noone works harder and takes pride in being appreciative for where he is. My son has always been (and going forward will always be) #3 in EVERYthing, but for four years, he was "afforded" the exception to be #45 in basketball and I couldn't be prouder.

We have been lucky to have the same relationship(s) with Jarvis, Kevin Ford and many of the guys on the team and staff today and it's been sad when these guys move on to the next level and next phase that life has in store. But I can confidently say, life will be different at ORU without 45 and he will be sorely missed.

Here's hoping that the season continues to enjoy more of the highs we have experienced lately and the legacy of DoMo won't just be in the memory books, but in another Championship Banner and NCAA run in 2012 that we haven't had.

DoMo if you are reading this - we luv ya Brother!!! Keep doing what you are doing, it's special!!! And thank you for representing ORU the way you have and bringing smiles to so many for so long!!!

Well said. I think Sutton has recruited players who 'fit' ORU. And I think ORU has molded those players into 'whole' persons.
