Just looked at the link and looks like we have a shot at this kid. Shiloh Christian is only 2 hrs away. He would probably play the 2 with us.

Yeah, he just looks like a Creighton guy, doesn't he?

Always thought ol' HWSNBN looked and played like a Bluejay, too: all "O", little "D".

Perhaps... but I'm pretty sure our coaches were high on this kid; could have been a Domo-like player for us.

But even if the kid wanted to come to ORU..... I thought we have no scholarships left?..... :!:

He is a high school senior - class of 2012.

His Rivals.com profile says he's Class of 2013 - a senior-to-be, which means he can't officially sign with anybody until Early Signing Period in November.

Oh.....can't blame the kid for choosing Creighton....that school higher on the basketball food chain than ORU....still, it would have been a nice pick up..... :nerd:

Darian Harris’ decision to leave the Creighton basketball program gives the Bluejays a much-needed scholarship as they attempt to upgrade their talent.

Creighton coach Greg McDermott confirmed Saturday that Harris, a 6-foot-6 guard, has decided to transfer. The freshman from Springdale, Ark., redshirted this season.

“Darian has decided to pursue a school closer to home that would offer a better chance for immediate playing time,’’ McDermott told The World-Herald. “We appreciate his efforts this season and wish him all the best moving forward.’’

Very interesting - this could explain some of the recent moves. I think we are the closest D-1 school to Springdale, Arkansas. Should be interesting to see what happens.

Omaha News Herald story

Edit: Tulsa is 110 miles from Springdale while Springfield, MO (Missouri State) is 110 miles.

Harris appears to have red-shirted this year as he does not appear in the Creighton stats for 2013-14:  Link

He would have to sit out a year as part of the transfer process.
