Bogus Smith
Looking through the schedules that are already out, to date this is what our schedule is shaping up to look like. The schedules for Arkansas, Wichita State and some other regional schools are not out yet, so there is a lot to fill-in - especially for mid-week games - but this is a start. Old Titan
Four fewer league games without Centenary also means we can start the conference season later, which is better for everyone, weather wise. Like the fact that we play at SDSU in late April - maybe there won't be any snow on the ground...

Old Titan
Remember it was early May two years when we endured the cold/rain/sleet/snow-a-thon in Brookings... LOL - wishful thinking, I know. Come to think of it, is there any good time to visit Brookings?

theeagleman5
No guarantee of "warm" weather playing at Southern Utah in mid April and SDSU in late April.....but TheEagleman loves the Alabama tournament....those are three top quality opponents...... Actually Eagleman, Southern Utah has some of the best weather in the conference for baseball. While Cedar City is at high elevation, it's only a mid-range drive from Las Vegas, so the climate is more high desert than anything else. Yes, it can snow at SUU - but I've seen flurries at many games at JLJohnson, too.

It would be nice to get a weekend series with an independent school like DBU for three games (hopefully it is not Nebraska-Omaha).
Bogus Smith
The schedule for Texas is out and ORU isn't playing them this year. We have been replaced by the likes of Houston Baptist, UT-Pan American and Stephen Freakin' Austin!! What a shame for the good guys.....the UT games were very competitive. Bogus Smith
The only updated schedule this week is from Arkansas. Only one game at Fayetteville (mid-week on April 24), with no game in Tulsa. We won't be playing Rice (their schedule is out), but still haven't seen anything for some of our other regional opportunities, like DBU, Baylor, Wichita State or UT-Arlington. Stay tuned for further developments. The schedule above has been updated.

ORUTerry
That seems awfully early.... could be a little brisk - even in Waco.

Bogus Smith
TheEagleman loves a series at Baylor to open the season.....that's a good test....maybe they will give us a return series in 2013?.... Don't count on it, Eagleman. We opened in Waco last year, too. ORU won the first game and lost the series with the next two games. We were competitive, but we didn't have a #2 and #3 pitcher developed at the time. With Gozalez and Bowen as the #1/#2 starters and a bevy of other potentials (Spring, Fisher & Martony) for the #3 spot, we may be able to do well in this year's series. The schedule above has been updated. I wouldn't be surprised to see TCU on our schedule as a mid-week game this season.

Bogus Smith
TheEagleman would also love to see Dallas Baptist on the schedule....any reason why they won't make the trip to JLJ?.... DBU may think that we owe them three games since in our last series with them we went to Dallas and spent three days in a hotel watching it rain. If I remember correctly, Game 1 was a washout, I think our guys made it to the field for game 2, but both teams decided it was too wet to play and took their chances for a doubleheader on Sunday. I remember because the Mrs. and I was there and trying to find out whether to leave the hotel that we were staying at in Dallas and go to the field or go home. Hopefully enough time has past to start our series all over - whether in Tulsa or Dallas.
