A 6'7" PF....now that's just what we need!...Is this kid any good?...... :nerd:

Evidently the kid is a bit raw but has HUGE upside. He has a good frame and although he has only picked up "official" offers from ORU and Jacksonville St., OU has been looking at him for awhile.

Here's a link to his 2011 highlights:

The twins are at a community college? I thought they were headed for a prep school. Does this mean they are going the juco route and will have to lose two years of eligibility?

just a guess....even w/some scholarship, sending your kid half way across the country to attend prep school can't be cheap. imagine trying to send two.

Ugh, looks that way...

"Juco typically refers to players who play at a two-year school initially, earn an associate's degree, and then transfer into a four-year college with two seasons' eligibility remaining. Because these players have completed degree programs, they are not obligated to sit out a year like other transfer students."

It depends on why they went to the juco.

If they went to catch up on required school work, then they have to earn that associate's (2-year) degree before they could come to a place like ORU.

But, in some instances, they can transfer out of juco after just one season, IF they could have qualified for NCAA D-1 out of high school anyway. Kelvin Sango is an example of that: he played one year at a juco and three at ORU.

I seem to recall at least of the twins could have qualified this year at ORU, but the other couldn't. Theoretically, the one in good standing out of high school could move on to a D-1 school next season and begin play as a sophomore, but the brother who didn't have the grades can't.

update: oops, I see where SoloGold actually posted this information some time back - on the first page. I should have checked first. Sorry about that.

A prep school would have been better. A juco means they are wide open and will probably end up at a Big 12 type of school. Oh well on to the next one.

I seem to remember that one of them may have had eligibility issues and therefore had to attend juco - while the other twin wanted to play with his brother. Wonder if both of them will stay in juco for the 2 years - or will they split up?

So what happened to the big press conference where the twins announced they were going to ORU?.....all for show?.... |(

You think they are good enough for a Big 12 school?

Somebody does and that's what counts. They are 6'7" Larry Owens type of athletes. I don't think ORU would have sent them that route.

it sounds like ORU is putting the hard court press on Aaron Anderson at Edmond Santa Fe.

"Coach Suttons in the building."

"Had a good practice today. ORU and OSU in attendance"

It's Tweets like this one from prospects that will eventually result in basketball coaches wearing disguises on the recruiting trail. 8)

Could have meant that Coach Sutton's in the building (Coach Sutton is in the building) but forgot the apostrophe.
