theeagleman5
TheEagleman has all the respect in the world for Verlander of the Detroit Tigers with 21 wins.....but Cliff Lee tosses shutout #6 of the season tonight in a big game vs. Atlanta and now has 16 wins on his way to a possible 20....would love to see these two guys in a World Series matchup.... TrueBlue82
The Lee-Verlander question has the same answer as the Manning-Brady question. Would you like Verlander or Lee leading your rotation? The answer is YES.
theeagleman5
Good response, Blue....Verlander is a lot younger but Lee's playoff experience could be a difference maker....TheEagleman will be interested to see how Verlander responds come October....would love to see him knock out the Yankees or Red Sox.... ORUalum
verlander...potential no hit stuff every time he takes the bump. as a long time ranger fan, lee going 0-2 in the world series may bias my opinion. it also did not help that he refused to ask for the ball in game 4. a true ace would have demanded the ball in game 4 on short rest and set up the potential to pitch game 7 had the series extended.
