theeagleman5 Posted September 1, 2011 Share Posted September 1, 2011 ORU held 5th ranked OSU to only one goal but couldn't muster any offense in a tough 1-nil road loss....must have been a tremendous goaltending performance by our netminder Amanda Wheeler facing 25 shots and making 11 saves....the Cowgirls really outplayed our ladies but we put up a valiant effort in the loss....ORU falls to 1-3-1... Soccer is a strange game in many ways. If ORU had played the way they did against OSU when they played SFA, we would have won that game. You can get several shots on goal and not make any while another team can have fewer shots on goal and have a few shots find the back of the net. Teams often dominate possession and still lose the game. I hope the girls and guys keep their heads up, there are still a lot of games to be played.
