theeagleman5
Happy 4th of July from the Cradle of Liberty....Philadelphia, where the Declaration of Independence was signed and the Liberty Bell rung 225 years ago today!....
theeagleman5
The USA Women's quarterfinal soccer victory over Brazil today may have been one of the most thrilling TV moments for this country in quite some time...that goal in injury time to tie the score at 2-2 was about as exciting as it gets...then we win on penalties to advance to the semifinals vs. France(ptooey!!).....a big day for American soccer fans....oh, and so much for the Brazilians tactic of faking injuries in the final minutes of OT....it cost them 3 added on minutes and that was when the USA got the game turning goal....also, officiating a total disgrace on the field...USA playing one girl down and also vs. the 3 officials....it was 10 vs. 14 in the 2nd half....GOD BLESS THE USA!!!....those ladies played and won with class!!.... theeagleman5
The USA women win again today beating France in the semi-final, 3-1 thanks to another header by Amy Wambach...the only thing that would have made this better is if President Obama would have added insult to injury by dropping a bomb on the Eiffel Tower after the game (can you tell that TheEagleman is no fan of the French???... )......now the Americans will face surprising Japan in the finals on Sunday....big game for a chance at our first Cup since 1999.... ...maybe the USA Men's team could learn a trick or two from the ladies...... theeagleman5
Lost to Japan on penalties?....didn't see the game except for the penalty kicks and it's a shame that the USA blew a pair of leads especially the one in OT....but if any country needs a pick me up it's the Japanese.....it's been a rough year for them...glad that their ladies soccer team gives them something to be happy about....
