Guest
ORU still up 5-2 in the bottom of the 6th....could be a long night with the weather...is it clearing up?....at least tomorrow's game not scheduled until 7pm........ We live to play another day! Go Eagles!
ORUJason
Way to go Eagles! Talk about a never give up attitude. Gonzalez going tomorrow night I assume against DBU's 4th best pitcher. I like our chances. Especially with the confidence this team is playing with now. And with Rice already knocked out of the Houston regional. The road to Omaha is beat DBU once with your ace, then (probably) take 2 of 3 from Baylor. I'll take those odds.
theeagleman5
Guest hurls a 2 run 5 hit gem and ORU amazingly wins, 7-2 and lives to play tomorrow night in the championship game of the regional vs. DBU.....just incredible.....this has to be on of the biggest weekends in ORU baseball history as we eliminate OU and TCU and then come right back and defeat Dallas Baptist....this team is on a roll....their confidence must be at an all time high....congrats to Coach Walton and a fantastic bunch of young men..... ORUTex
The way I see it, the whole team looked terrible on Friday and great since, so why should Alex be any different? We've got an ace ready to go, a rested bullpen, and a bunch of hot hitters.

Man, it just shows you how much the regular season is just window dressing, full of excitement and frustrations, but it's how you play when your back is against the wall that ultimately counts. ORUalum
guest pitched like a guy saying 'this may be the last time i'm on the mound.' complete focus and intensity. he absolutely lived in the zone the last 4 or 5 innings.
ORUTerry
Great wins today by ORU, Never underestimate a Rob Walton led baseball team. One win away from super regional berth.

ORUTerry
Would love to see how the Tulsa TV sports shows play this...... Especially since OU and OSU have been eliminated.
ManiacAlum
Incredible that ORU is one win away from the Super's. Big time performance by Mark Guest and the ORU bats. Now give the ball to Cheech and let's start the insanity. Baseball is crazy, can't hang your head too long, you don't know when your number will be called again. Memo to Berry Tramel and Dean Blevins- this has been a pretty good weekend for Oklahoma sports teams.
ORUTerry
They don't think any sports exist in the Tulsa area. Wonder if Dean will allow John Holcomb to even mention ORU tonight in their 'combined' sports program?
ORUJason
Channel 6 lead-in to sports says "With OU and OSU out, ORU carries the flag for the state of OK at the college baseball regional.".
ORUJason
Blevins quote "There is only one OK team left and they aren't wearing crimson or orange. Could Oral Roberts be on their way to Omaha?"

But I really don't think they know ORU is in Tulsa or that Tulsa is in Oklahoma.
Old Titan
"WHAT A DAY FOR SPORTS IN OKLAHOMA!!" Seriously, these last two days rival the 2006 regional in Fayetteville as "greatest weekend ever" in the "Golden Eagle" era of ORU baseball (post-Cochell). But remember: that 2006 bunch was a great team doing what many thought was possible, and some even expected. This team, though?? Seriously, whoda thunk it?? What they have accomplished the past four weekends has been nothing short of unbelievable: 1. Taking 3-of-4 games from league-leading SDSU to storm back into contention in league play. 2. Sweeping Southern Utah in four games to clinch a No. 1 seed in Sioux Falls and the right to host next year in Tulsa. 3. Plowing through the field in Sioux Falls, culminating in a dramatic extra-innings win in the championship off an All-American reliever. 4. Eliminating not one but TWO 2010 College World Series participants (and 2011 Top Twenty fixtures) in the Fort Worth regional in OU and TCU, and doing so in style. 5. Bringing red-hot Dallas Baptist to a screetching halt in tonight's game, forcing a winner-take-all Monday night game. No matter what happens Monday night, this team has WAY overachieved from what I thought it was capable of a month ago - WAY overachieved!!! Props to the ORU players and coaches for believing in themselves and making this past month so memorable for ORU baseball fans. NICE JOB!!
