ORUTerry Posted May 9, 2011 Share Posted May 9, 2011 Interesting article. They are basically saying that UNO did not have to drop either program for financial reasons. It seems interesting that the decision was made without a lot of internal input. I guess that is hard to do. If a sizeable amount of the players were paying their own way, it does seem that UNO was getting a nice benefit in increased enrollment. I remember that we had this discuss about Valpo's non-scholarship program. Another sidebar is the conjecture that Trev Alberts (UNO's current AD) might be doing this to appease the University of Nebraska - with an eye towards taking the AD position at the University of Nebraska in the future.
