(By the way, ORU has 2 on with no outs in the bottom of the third) Here's the brief summary on Jarrett: Senior transfer from the University of Arizona ? brings mound experience to pitching staff ? owns good command of 87-91 mph fastball ? also mixes in a slider, curve ball and change-up ? excellent overall control ? begins season as No. 3 starter ? thinks well on the mound. Before ORU Played last two seasons at the University of Arizona after spending two years at Otero Junior College in La Junta, Colo. ... will have one season of eligibility remaining after receiving a medical red-shirt for the 2004 season ... was 2-2 with two saves and 5.55 ERA in 19 appearances in 2005 ... tossed 35.2 innings last year, allowing 45 hits and striking out 31 with just five walks ... made eight appearances for Arizona in 2004 before missing the season's remainder with injury ... walked only 10 batters in 50.1 career innings at Arizona ... struck out 60 batters in 59 innings in two seasons at Otero ... pitched in Summer 2005 for Harrisonburg Turks of the Valley League ... was 4-1 with a 3.38 ERA for the Turks, striking out 37 and walking 16 in 45.1 innings of work ... tossed a no-hitter against Waynesboro on July 24th, striking out 11 without a walk in the nine-inning gem.
