I suppose like any young team we'll look great (last night) one night and awful the next. Our 4-out 1-in matched up real well w/ EIU and our big guards did a nice job on the boards and team defense looked great. Held their all conference guy to a bad night. We had 8 threes in the first half to their 1 and led 40-30 at half. I think we ended the night 10-18 on threes and missed maybe 2 FT's. We were up about 20 the entire 2nd half until we slowed it down and they hit two late threes. USD hung w/ Nebraska the entire game but in the end their lack of inside size/skill did them in. Not sure what happened btw NDSU/Oregon but it's nice to see the Bison at least stay close. If you get BigTenNetwork SDSU will be playing Iowa tommorow at 2pm. Good job WIU, they can really dee it up! Next up: @Wyoming SDSU 94 SW Minnesota State (D2) 80 Pretty lame effort tonight in a letdown game for the Jacks (3-0). The good news is that coach Nagy said the kids "looked like they lost by 40 in the lockeroom after the game". Six players scored 9 or more for SDSU, who led by 15 at the half. SDSU looked poor on dee and rebounding and their backup PG admitted to them lacking intensity. SMSU is a stones throw from Brookings and this was their biggest game. SDSUJacks Posted November 24, 2010 Author Share Posted November 24, 2010 SDSU gets to 4-0, beating Idaho State 79-47. Game never really in doubt as SDSU got off to a 24-3 lead. Idaho State is huge!
