theeagleman5 Posted October 30, 2010 Share Posted October 30, 2010 TheEagleman just watched the Golden Hurricane come from behind to stun ND, 28-27 thanks to a FG with 3 minutes left and then last minute interception in the end zone....for some inexplicable reason with the Irish in easy FG range for their outstanding kicker inside the 20 yard line choose to let the freshman ND QB loft a pass near the goal line which is easily intercepted by TU to clinch the game with 30 seconds to play....very strange way for ND to lose but frankly, TU deserved the win....Coach Graham interviewed after the game called it the biggest win in Tulsa history....so the smallest school in FBS football beats arguably one of the most prestigious ones.....last week Navy and this week TU...the season just gets worse at South Bend...that's not necessarily a bad thing....where is Touchdown Jesus when they need him?.... ORUalum Posted October 31, 2010 Share Posted October 31, 2010 i absolutely hate the golden domers. great win for TU. not sure how beating a very mediocre ND team can be considered the biggest win in school history. they have been playing football at TU a long time. that was indeed horrible coaching on ND's part. theeagleman5 Posted November 1, 2010 Author Share Posted November 1, 2010 It's always good pub for a small school like TU to go into South Bend and beat ND even on a down year....that was just blunderous coaching at the end by Kelly....he had just about a sure FG which would have been about a 35 yard kick even if the Irish had gained no more yards in the last 30 seconds....why put the game in the hands of your freshman QB when you have an experienced kicker ready to win the game on a boot that's got a 90+% shot of being made for the win?....totally dumb.....ND deserves to go without a bowl this year....they just aren't very good...and how does a school that can get just about any recruit they want by just knocking on the door continue to lose like they have during this decade?...it boggles the mind....
