Southeastern University Is Still Seeking A New President Search committee reorganized, many reasons for the delay in hiring By Cary McMullen THE LEDGER (excerpt) LAKELAND | Facing pressure from church officials, Southeastern University leaders have reorganized a search committee looking for a new president, likely delaying further a process that already has taken almost 21 months. In the meantime, some faculty members and students at the Lakeland school report they are demoralized and facing a climate of secrecy and intimidation from the interim administration. ... But the atmosphere on campus is not as bright as it was under the perpetually upbeat Rutland.
