SOLO_Gold Posted October 2, 2010 Share Posted October 2, 2010 Tell it goodbye: Cal to drop its baseball program Bears' men's, women's gymnastics teams and women's lacrosse are also cut loose The University of California at Berkeley announced it will cut baseball from its athletic department, along with men's gymnastics, women's gymnastics and women's lacrosse team. The Bears finished 29-25 this past season and reached the NCAA tournament. With the economy the way it is (especially in California), I expect we could see a lot more public universities making big time cuts to their athletic budgets.
