theeagleman5 Posted September 6, 2010 Share Posted September 6, 2010 This morning the Philadelphia Eagles announced the addition of TE Garrett Mills to their practice squad....the former Jenks HS and TU star has previously been with the Minnesota Vikings since being drafted in 2006.... Bogus Smith Posted September 7, 2010 Share Posted September 7, 2010 Actually Garrett was drafted by the NE Patriots in 2006 before being cut and picked up by the Vikings for the last three seasons. theeagleman5 Posted September 8, 2010 Author Share Posted September 8, 2010 Sorry about the error with regards to being drafted by the Pats....i totally overlooked that on the Eagles website....yeah, he sounds a bit small for the NFL at 6-1 235.....most TEs are at least 6-3 and 250+ these days for blocking purposes....I don't see this guy as getting active with the Eagles unless they suffer a major injury at the position....Brent Celek is our starter and very good....our back up TE is Clay Harbour from Missouri State who made the team as a 4th round pick.... theeagleman5 Posted September 14, 2010 Author Share Posted September 14, 2010 LOL....hey, we might need him to do just that if players keep dropping like they did last week vs. the Packers....we lost four players to significant injuries during the game including two season enders....MLB Bradley and QB Kolb will miss this week with concussions....good thing we have reclamation project Mike Vick to step in.....he'll be fine for a week or two....TheEagleman isn't worried.....yet..... theeagleman5 Posted December 24, 2010 Author Share Posted December 24, 2010 Not such a downer for Garrett Mills after all....turns out when the Eagles cut him they where waiting 24 hrs to try and sneek him onto the practice squad.....but Cincinnati claimed him first.....So Mills is now a member of the Bengals....
