Old Titan
Good guys lead it 3-0 on a bases-loaded double, heading to the bottom of the 1st. Nine home runs in the 34-10 first game debacle, one shy of the school record set back in the NAIA days vs. a non-Division One opponent. And Geoff says the wind is now blowing out harder than it was in the first game...
Old Titan
The problem with that wind is that it blows out for both teams. Dons take a 6-3 lead in the second, thanks to a couple of dingers of their own.
ORUTex
Time to bring in the sinkerballer. Or the knuckleballer - a good one would be unhittable going into the wind.
Old Titan
ORU still trails 6-3 in the top of the 5th inning. As mentioned previously on other threads, I'm reminded of a doubleheader ORU played 39 years ago (almost to the day): MAY 1, 1971 Game 1: ORU 27, Bethany Nazarene 0 Game 2: Bethany Nazarene 4, ORU 2 ...and Oral only saw the second game that day. Old Titan
9-4 IPFW, headed to the 8th. At least the second game in the Bethany Nazarene doubleheader was close...
theeagleman5
Looks like IPFW does have some pride...you have to hand it to those Mastadons for showing some stones in game 2.....ORU should have saved that 15 run inning for the nightcap....
