Bogus Smith
Good luck to the Women's Golf team. Unfortunately they have been sent to the West Regional AGAIN where most of the Top 25 teams are sent. Hopefully we can come away with a top 15 position this year. One of these years we'll get the chance to play in a regional closer to home. Women’s Golf Sent to NCAA West Regional TULSA--Oral Roberts University women’s golf team is heading to California for the NCAA West Regional, May 6-8 at Stanford Golf Course in Stanford, Calif., it was announced during a conference call on Monday. The Golden Eagles, who recently captured their 13th consecutive Summit League championship, are making their 10th straight regional appearance. Top-ranked UCLA highlights a field which includes eight Top 25 teams (Alabama, Arizona, Ohio State, Virginia, Stanford, LSU, California, Texas A&M). Rounding out the field are Texas, UC-Davis, Arkansas, UNLV, San Jose State, San Francisco, Idaho, UC-Irvine, Iowa State, Maryland, Colorado State, Texas State, Penn and Portland. Head coach Lance Watson’s Golden Eagles are led by sophomore Amber Hensley (Jenks, Okla.), the 2010 Summit League Championship MVP. Hensley, who owns a 76.5 stroke average, also earned first-team All-Summit League honors.
