theeagleman5
Chapman started for Reading yesterday and got pounded for 5 runs and 5 hits in 2.2 innings of work in the Phillies 11-2 loss at Altoona....not a good finish to the season for Chance....he took the loss and will end with a 2-3 record and a poor ERA of 5.36....not sure what next season will bode for Chapman....he started off the year decent but never seemed to get back on track after he missed a month in May-June with that oblique strain.....let's hope that 2011 is a better season.... theeagleman5
Chance Chapman finished his season at the AA Reading Phillies with a 2-3 record and an ERA of 5.36...most of his 50.1 innings were in relief but he did start 3 games near the end of the season....he had 22 walks and 37 Ks....he just never got it going this season after he missed over a month in injury in May-June....hopefully, Chance will have a better year in 2011....not sure if he is eligible for the Rule 5 draft yet but even if so...it's unlikely he would be picked because a team selecting a player has to leave him on the big league roster all season or return the player to the old team for $25,000.....TheEagleman will keep an eye on what happens to Chappy.... Irish333
Chappy is going to do just fine! Just like the Marines.... we never retreat....we may attack in a different direction... but we never retreat! LOL
theeagleman5
I like your optimism, Irish and hope you are right about Chance....while highly unlikely...TheEagleman would love to see a Phillies 2011 rotation of Halladay, Hamels, Oswalt, Blanton and Chapman.....
