Guest Rob Marshall
The Indiana Hoosiers are playing non-conference road games at Western Illinois (11.26.05), at Indiana State (12.06.05), at Ball State (12.31.05) and they also are playing Butler in Indianapolis (a "home away from home" type game) rather than in Bloomington on 12.23.05 on a "neutral" court. If Western Illinois could get the Hoosiers to Macomb, why couldn't we get IU to Tulsa? Mike Davis must be doing a favor for his friend Derek Thomas I guess?!?!? I must say it's nice to be playing Oklahoma this season, but it's too bad the Sooners won't play ORU at the Mabee Center like IU is doing going on the road to play ISU and BSU. TrueBlue82
Why will OU play TU at the Reynolds Center, but not ORU at the Mabee Center? Have the Sooners ever played ORU at Mabee, except for the NIT 20 plus years ago???
TrueBlue82
Just consulted the media guide, and found that OU's last trip to the Mabee Center was in 1995 - a 34 point Sooner win, likely one of ORU's worst losses in the building. In fact, since that 1982 NIT game in Tulsa, ORU has lost eight straight to the Sooners (with only the 95 game in Tulsa, all others in Norman or OKC), with an average margin of 32 points. Sure would love to get them to come back to Tulsa...or better yet, stun them in Norman this year!
