TrueBlue82
Summit League Announces Host Sites for 09-10 Championships https://www.nmnathletics.com//pdf4/625191.pdf?ATCLID=204762771&SPSID=87085&SPID=10321&DB_OEM_ID=17000 I found this interesting, as the host schools (not coincidentally) are the "players" in the conference: Number of 09-10 Championships Hosted by School: ORU 3 NDSU 3 Oakland 2 SUtah 2 SDSU 2 (including basketball, which is actually Sioux Falls) IUPUI 1 Also noteworthy by their absence are the four schools with NO tournaments: IPFW (still new to the conference) Centenary (on their way out) UMKC (most central metropolitan location with little commitment to athletics) Western Illinois (most tenured league member, but investment in athletics seems to be waning) I think most conference fans would agree that the six schools listed above have significantly separated themselves from the other four when it comes to athletics. This also shows (once again) the wisdom of the league members in inviting the Dakota schools to join. Love 'em or hate 'em, the conference would be in world of hurt without them.
