Bogus Smith Posted May 17, 2009 Share Posted May 17, 2009 Congratulations to the Lady Bisons on their trip into the NCAA Softball Regionals and ending up in the winner's bracket game against Tulsa tomorrow. The Lady Bisons only have to beat TU once to advance to the College Softball World Series in Oklahoma City in their first year of eligibility. NDSU beat nationally seeded (#7) OU last night/this afternoon in an 11-inning thriller that was knotted 0-0 after 10 innings before lightning suspended play until noon today. OU smashes Arkansas 21-2 in its first elimination game this afternoon before losing on a walk-off HR by TU in the second elimination game 5-3 tonight. Bogus Smith Posted May 17, 2009 Author Share Posted May 17, 2009 Yes, I stand corrected that there is also a Super Regional in Women's Softball (just like baseball) before getting to OKC for the World Series. Looks like NDSU will play the winner of the LSU/Arizona State matchup. ASU has to beat LSU twice to advance, but in either place, NDSU will not have cold weather. "We know you're disappointed that OU isn't in the WCWS in OKC but you know they got beat by that junior college from North Dakota."
