MrsSmith
Despite heavy rains, frigid temperatures – even hail and sleet – the Golden Eagles captured their 12th consecutive Summit League crown by 38 strokes in a rain-shortened championship, Tuesday at Katke-Cousins Golf Course. By virtue of the win, ORU earns the Summit League’s automatic berth to NCAA Regionals in May. With Duke’s loss in the ACC Championships, ORU now owns the longest consecutive championship streak in women’s golf. That must have been brutal playing in those conditions.
