Conqs’ Reynolds runs to Oral Roberts

Kendall Reynolds hasn’t competed long, but her coach Vincent Flowers knows she is destined for success.

“She has just scratched the surface,” Flowers said after Reynolds, a senior track star at Cabrillo High School signed a letter-of-intent to continue her athletic career at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Okla.

After returning to Lompoc — where she was born — from Japan where her mother was stationed, Reynolds made a quick impression on the Conquistadores coaching staff.

“Most kids take two or three years to become a quality triple jumper,” explained Flowers, co-coach of the track team along with Jake Brown. “But she went right out and competed.
