JAMES GIBBARD/Tulsa World (excerpt) By LYNN JACOBSEN World Sports Writer 1/11/2009 Last Modified: 1/11/2009 3:25 AM High fives are universal in any language. For Russian orphan Vladimir, it is one of the few ways he has already started to communicate with his host parents, Jerry and Reva Finkbeiner. The Oral Roberts women's basketball coach and his wife are hosts to one of 14 Russian orphans who arrived in Tulsa late Friday night for a 10-day stay. Young Vladimir, who turned 9 on Saturday, knows little English. But it hasn't stopped the blonde-haired, blue-eyed youngster from communicating with his host parents, high fives notwithstanding. "I think he knows thank you, dog, tiger and computer in English," coach Finkbeiner said. "He's a whiz on the computer. We're really looking forward to seeing where the next week takes us." Finkbeiner said the idea to be a host family came from a newspaper article. The project is under the direction of Becky De Nooy, coordinator of The Russian Orphan Lighthouse Project.......
