vcboy2000
Take what you get. If you get the open 3 take it!

vcboy2000
I think the story of this loss has to be the missed free throws, especially with the chance for a 1 and 1. I think that hurt us more than anything tonight.

I think that hurt us more than anything tonight. Ditto, vcb. Our poor free throw shooting will kill us in close games like tonight. New Mexico was very lucky to win this one. Had we hit free throws they wouldn't have.

vcboy2000
This is what I think we all thought possible with this non-conference schedule. These tough losses will either make us tougher or crush our spirit. I think the former is what we'll see once conference play starts. Hopefully this is making them hungrier to win. ORUTerry
Geoff said that after the game, Alford went over and spoke with Ken Holdman. Wonder what that was all about? Did he recruit Ken?
ORUTerry
Coach Sutton: They were trying to foul, but it was not called. Did not lose the game. We lost it in the first five minutes of 2nd half. Did not keep defensive intensity. But the team battled back after losing the lead. Could not get defensive stops or offensive rebounds. Missed some key front ends of one-and-ones.... great home court advantage. Had foul trouble and bench was short. Guyton out and Stokes fouled with Lewis/Ford in foul trouble. Think the way the team is playing is positive going into PR games.... Have to get tougher to win close games. Have guys come up in clutch times. Will be playing three tough teams in PR. tmh8286
Brent Mackey is right - this team deserves to have something good happen to them. I think they're still getting better, and at some point they're going to go on a tear!
