ORU’s Bain wins national championship: After becoming the first-ever NCAA national champion in any sport at Oral Roberts University, Andretti Bain followed up his indoor 400-meter national title with an outdoor 400-meter championship Saturday at Des Moines, Iowa.

Bain raced to an ORU school record 44.62 to defeat USC’s Lionel Larry, who had held the No. 1 time in the 400-meter for the past month, by 0.01 seconds.

Bain won his first title in Fayetteville, Ark., at the 2008 NCAA indoor track and field championship. The ORU men finish 25th with 10 points after Bain’s first-place finish.

Leave a comment concerning the amount of coverage Bain received - be it positive or negative  :-) but not too negative of course.
