Bogus Smith
Thanks to the age of the Internet and finding all kinds of things that we were never able to find when we were growing up, the ORU baseball schedule has been posted at another site other than www.orugoldeneagles.com. I'm not sure why we aren't announcing our baseball schedule, but I'm sure that there is a good reason. In any event, the schedule looks very good and challenging. NCAA Tournament participant, Le Moyne, is our home opener with a three-game series. Early in the schedule, the Golden Eagles host a mid-week, two-game series with Baylor before Spring Break, which should bring out the students. Also a weekend series with BYU after Spring Break should bode well for another good crowd from followers of the visitors. A home-and-home series with Missouri State, Arkansas and Wichita State (but no OSU or OU) rounds out our regional competition. We'll see Dallas Baptist four times this season (three at home) and a mid-week road game to Austin to see Marcus Tackett. Our last challenging game will be a mid-week road game with Kansas in May in preparation for the Tournament(s). Overall, a great schedule for the Golden Eagles. With weather like today, it makes you wonder why we have to wait another 3+ months to put on the blue-and-vegas gold!! tmh8286
Outstanding, Bogus. You're the MAN! Looks like we came fairly close in our guestimate.
Bogus Smith
Outside of Le Moyne and Kansas and knowing when we were going to play Baylor (we knew we were playing - just not when), I think it was pegged pretty well in the "unofficial schedule" thread. Nice team effort!!
TrueBlue82
I truly believe this is the best ORU baseball schedule EVER! Solid tournaments and strong non-conference opponents, with a balanced mix of home and away games. As usual, the schedule drops off significantly once conference play begins, but there's nothing we can do about that. Great job, Rob and company - the "controllable" part of the schedule is excellent!
