The Oral Roberts University women's team will seek its 10th consecutive Mid-Continent Conference title at next Monday and Tuesday's league championship in Shreveport, La.

The Golden Eagles have used the solid play of sophomore Christy Carter and junior Pamela Ontiveros all season. Carter has been named the conference's player of the week four times this year. She shot a season-best 68 en route to finishing seventh last week at the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic in Norman. The Victory Christian graduate has the top scoring average in the conference at 74.2 strokes per round.

Ontiveros struggled at the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic with a tie for 40th place. She had seven top-10 finishes in nine previous events. Ontiveros' 74.3 scoring average ranks second in the conference behind Carter.

Junior Jessica Gibson ranks third in the league with a 78.9 scoring average.

Other league tourneys: The men's Mid-Con Championship will be held simultaneously as the women's event in Shreveport. The Golden Eagles, led by senior Mauricio Tamez, are attempting to win their first league title in four years.
