2027 Schedule

As the basketball season schedule(s) have been released, it's time to open up the topic for the 2027 ORU baseball schedule, as information will begin to trickle out over the next few months.

We'll start this one off with a bang - as ORU has announced a few "premier" home games for the 2027 season - and the list is TRULY premier!

 

In addition to a continuation of regional rivalries:

Oklahoma

Oklahoma State

Missouri State

Returning to Tulsa after a rare year off of the schedule: 

Wichita State

ORU adds two power-conference opponents and a solid mid-major to the home schedule:

Central Florida

Michigan State

Abilene Christian

 

It looks like it's going to be an excellent home schedule this season at Chapman Park!

It looks like it's going to be an excellent home schedule this season at Chapman Park!  Good detective work, @TrueBlue82 as I can't even find this information anywhere (or from anybody).  Thanks for the heads up.

We are also trying to fill open dates for March 9 and May 18.  Hopefully we can get a Big XII team that is traveling to/from the Oklahoma/Texas area.

Arkansas’s schedule is out and has the Golden Eagles in Fayetteville on March 10 for their matchup.

Interestingly, UA does a home-and-home with Missouri State. The piggies say that they can make a good gate by playing ORU once on their home turf but won’t make the return trek to Tulsa like they do with Springfield. Very frustrating….

I am glad to see ACU on the schedule.  Hopefully, this will be an ongoing home and home similar to DBU.  These are three like minded institutions in relatively close proximity.  It is good to see us playing one another regularly.  The best man in my wedding went to ACU.  We will probably come to Tulsa for the series. 

Is there any word of a possible trip to Texas next spring?

I would think that we would play Baylor before we play Texas.  Sean Snedeker, our former pitching coach, is now the pitching coach at Baylor and could probably get us a home-and-home series with the Bears easier than getting down to Austin (or Houston, or College Station, or San Antonio, or Huntsville, or any other city south of Waco/Dallas).

That I don't know yet, but I have to believe that we will play in Texas sometime during the year.

Also, saw the OSU schedule and we play the Cowboys at Chapman park on Tuesday, April 27 and in Stillwater on Tuesday, May 11.  Getting each team playoff ready, I guess.
