Keenan Henderson Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Let the madness begin! It is going to be an interesting Selection Sunday for the NCAA tournament this year. A lot of Power 5 bubble teams are losing and Miami of Ohio just lost after going 31-0 in the regular season. This feels like a crossroads for the mid major teams. If Miami of Ohio is left out, then it is a big blow for the smaller conferences. I know they have played a soft schedule but still they should be in, even if it is a play in game in Dayton.
theeagleman5 Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Yeah Miami OH at 31-1 should still get in over some 10th place SEC or Big 12 team....do i really want to see 18-15 Texas or 19-13 VA Tech? Nope.....more mid-majors please!!! 1 4
jmg1984 Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Liberty loses and Grand Canyon loses to Steve Alford led Nevada
Keenan Henderson Posted March 13 Author Posted March 13 OU has risen from the dead with 6 straight wins. I thought Porter was about to fired but if he beats Arkansas they might be dancing! Big surprise. It is a winnable game versus the Hogs because they have injuries and are basically set as a 5 or 6 seed in the NCAA tournament. Not saying Arkansas does not care but OU will be much more inspired to pull off the upset.
Keenan Henderson Posted March 15 Author Posted March 15 You might remember one of ORU's old foes from the Florida tournament: Kennesaw State, which made the NCAA tournament yesterday. The Eagles were on fire and beat them by 8, which might have been there biggest win of CB's rookie season. ORU hit 62 percent from 3 and 56% overall. They were in the zone.
ORUSwagger Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Mills so close from winning the American. Oh well maybe next year
Dave Connor Posted March 16 Posted March 16 NDSU is a 14 seed. They play 3-seed Michigan State on Thursday at 3PM Central Time. You can watch it on TNT. 1

I thought NDSU got a rough draw. How many want to open with Tom Izzo, who has been to 28 straight NCAA tournaments? They are about a 20 point underdog and unless the Bison get hot from 3, it will be a long night. Bison like to post up and that will be very difficult versus MSU. NDSU sets a school record for wins and still gets this draw.
theeagleman5 Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Let's hear your upset specials for Round 1 this week....Akron catches my eye along with maybe Santa Clara....and how about that CA Baptist??? Probably not gonna beat Billy Self and Kansas but could be interesting.....here's something i saw yesterday....over the past 10 years 53% of 11 seeds have beaten 6 seeds in Round 1.....that can't be ignored.... 1
Bogus Smith Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Can you imagine the amount of money that is being put on the table at the Thunder complex this week?? Between JDub (Santa Clara), Shai, and Wallace (Kentucky), there is probably a lot of trash talking going on down in Oklahoma City. 1
Keenan Henderson Posted March 16 Author Posted March 16 Here are some possible upsets: VCU over North Carolina, High Point over Wisconsin, and South Florida over Louisville, etc. Also just found out that Alabama had one of its best players picked up for pot and they said it could be a felony charge. Not sure all the details but cannot imagine he will play this weekend, so put Alabama on upset alert, too. Did anyone fill out the bracket yet? I have Florida vs Michigan State and Arizona vs Virginia in the Final Four and Arizona cuts down the nets. It is really hard to go against the top seeds but it would be nice to see an upset special in the Final Four. Just as long as Duke or UConn loses and they could face each other in the Elite 8.
theeagleman5 Posted March 16 Posted March 16 i like VCU also....they have won like 16 of the last 17 games.....Wisconsin always plays ugly but TheEagleman honestly knows zip about High Point....but ya never know....USF also an interesting pick.....Louisville is up and down.....Hofstra??? Hummmm......nah.....but this is March Madness....maybe Hofstra with the points? 1
Keenan Henderson Posted March 18 Author Posted March 18 Just remembered we are coming up on the 5th year anniversary of ORU's upset of Ohio State (3-19-21). What a run! 5
theeagleman5 Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Miami OH with the first upset of the tournament last night unless you consider Prairie View beating Lehigh also....but not quite the same.....the Red Hawks were 7.5 pt dogs vs. SMU and handled the Mustangs rather easily all night winning by 10....and to think that many pundits out there thought 32-1 Miami OH should not even be in the Tournament.....what a bunch of idiots....those kids can play and TheEagleman expects them to give Tennessee a battle in the 6/11 game in Philadelphia tomorrow afternoon..... 1

Keenan Henderson Posted March 19 Author Posted March 19 Is Duke going down? Shocker they trail by 11 at halftime to Siena. I expect Duke to come back but this would be the icing on the cake!

It just sounds better though to lose to THE Oral Roberts University. 2 minutes ago, Keenan Henderson said: Is Duke going down? Shocker they trail by 11 at halftime to Siena. I expect Duke to come back but this would be the icing on the cake! There is NO ONE that has Sienna winning against Duke. There will be 99.9% of the brackets busted on this game alone if Sienna follows through in the second half. 1
