Tough game tonight.  We should've been a lot closer, or even won the game.  A terrible third quarter, missed layups and free throws.  Hopefully we will do better next game.

The crowd was incredible.  I found out it was an AAU group, JYD, that had over 400 there.

I agree with Mrs Smith and normally do not post because so many of you cover what needs to be said.

HOWEVER, the game was lost because ORU FANS SUCK!!! ...And ORU will continue to lose home games if the fans don’t run these rogue refs off the court. The refs are more concerned with what the opposing team coaches say than judging fairly. I love the ORU coaching staff and the players. HCCA may have to become more vocal and take a TF to get the attention of the refs and wake up the fans.

Look at these game stats. Assume that 3PT shots rarely result in fouls and are not contested to the same level. This means that ORU had 59 shots that resulted in 18 NDS PF compared to NDS having 32 contested shots resulting in 24 ORU PF.

             FG          3PT         PF

NDS    23-54       7-22        18

ORU    29-67        2-8         24

THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE ON A HOME COURT

It's the difference between an established head coach and a first-year (ever) head coach.  You're right @#1 Fan that it will take HCCA getting a technical to rile up her team and her fans in order to make the referees feel the heat for their actions.  Too many times last night, we would be fouled - some harder than others - with a no-call; the ball goes to the other court and the same physicality is not reciprocated by the officiating crew and an infraction is called for the benefit of the visiting team.  The disparity of personal fouls and free throws should be noted in the coach's report to the Summit League office.

Well, if nobody else wants to say anything about the ORU women’s game today, I’ll put in my two cents worth. GREAT GAME! I love watching these women play.

Oglesby takes an elbow to the eye, but keeps telling coach Anderson that she’s ready to play. Coach finally puts her back in and she plays like always, but Coach Anderson wondered whether she could even see the rim.
