Bogus Smith Posted December 19, 2025 Posted December 19, 2025 You're missing a good game if you aren't watching this game. ORU women were down by 17 at halftime and are now leading by one with 3:30 left in the game.
Bogus Smith Posted December 19, 2025 Author Posted December 19, 2025 Donley got a charge (flop) call with 0:26 to go. ORU still up 72-70 with UNT getting the ball after the timeout.
Bogus Smith Posted December 19, 2025 Author Posted December 19, 2025 YUGE win (and a check) for the Ladies in a 74-73 thriller. Great road win for ORU women!! 1
Otis 83 Posted December 19, 2025 Posted December 19, 2025 I was sitting with @Sterns78 at the TCU game. He was following the ladies game on his phone. We watched the conclusion of the game on my phone during halftime. Great win for the ladies. Have to give comeback bragging rights to the Ladies having bested the men's comeback against Montana State.
TrueBlue82 Posted December 19, 2025 Posted December 19, 2025 The WBB team should have won at Wichita State as the much better team, but went dead cold in the fourth quarter. Then, they were clearly outmatched against a solid North Texas team, and left for dead with a 20+ point deficit in the third quarter. But, they got up off the mat and rallied for a huge, unexpected, last second victory. The women’s team has had some ups and downs, and have lost some games that they should have won and won some games that they should have lost. The men’s team has only one unexpected win (Kennesaw State), several close calls (Tulsa, Mo State), and a few blowouts that should have been closer on paper (Belmont, Weber State). The ORUWBB team started the season more connected than ORUMBB, with a core of returning players and a new coach that had familiarity as an assistant coach. I think that this has played big dividends, and is part of the reason that ORUWBB has been able to win some close games against tough opponents on the road, and likely has a higher ceiling than ORUMBB. 2
