I have no insider knowledge of Cal Furnish but from watching some of his highlights, he can dish the rock. I think he’s a point guard with +scoring ability.

As a freshman it is a big ask for a freshman to come in and run the point as a starter.  He could be a good backup, say 10 minutes off the bench but I doubt you want to hand him the keys to the car right away.  That would be true of 99 percent of all freshmen point guards, except for maybe a 5 star at Duke.

With Coach bringing in quite a few shooting guards/wing type players, is this the handwriting on the wall that JoJo Moore is not returning?

No. it's not.  Seen it before. 

Simplifies the game for a freshman point guard to not feel like he has to score for the team to succeed.

Another thought I’ve had with these recent additions and I realize it may sound disrespectful to them but with the new expansion to 15 players, are any of these guys even going to see the court? Are the starters still coming in the form of Jojo Moore, transfers and maybe talented freshman?

I’d bet money that Ty and Lane see significant minutes this year. Both fifth year players, one averaged 10ppg at the D1 level and the other an NAIA All-American! Hard to picture us recruiting  two more guards better than them this late, while also having no real bigs signed yet!

So far the recruiting looks decent. If they can get a couple of good Bigs my excitement level will go way up.

For now, I could live with a starting line-up of the following:

• Harper - Point Guard
• Sparks - Shooting Guard
• Dow - Small Forward
• Jacob - Stretch Four
• Gray - Power Forward

I could see Chase Martin in the mix as a shooting guard.  He should have been playing last year (IMHO).

I’m told there’s still a spot for him if he tires of trying to find more NIL a new home. It’s been announced on social media that he has an agent to assist in that regard:

I have a hot take on this roster: either they will make shots or miss shots!  I should have worked for ESPN!  An announcer said that one time on TNT about a certain player and I thought who hired this guy (who will remain nameless).   I need some prayer and meditation too.
