Max is back for the 3rd straight year with the Utah Jazz summer league team.  He is a fighter and has not given up on his NBA dream.  The question is will Max ever play in an NBA game?

Would have loved for the Jazz to call him up at the end of last year when they were tanking and give him a couple of 10 day contracts. Just to say he got to play in the NBA.

I caught the second half of Max's summer league matchup with Atlanta yesterday.  He had a good game with 15 points and 6 assists. Max made some free throws to send it into overtime and was effective at getting the ball to Peterson (second pick from Kansas), who then filled it up.  It is still strange watching Max (lead NCAA in scoring in 2021) now have a role of setting up the latest hot new player.

Slow night with no WC Soccer so TheEagleman watched a little Summer League with Max and friends....the former ORU star looked pretty good distributing the ball and chipped in with 15 points as Utah smacked around OKC.....Abmas still has it...at least at the G League level....still a bit small for the NBA but would enjoy seeing him get an opportunity....he plays with gusto....smart guy.....

It could have been a big night for Max, as he was part of the 1 vs 2 pick (Peterson vs AJ Dybansza) on ESPN tonight.  He struggled going for 0 points but had 5 assists and his team lost by 4 points.

In the category of ICYMI, Max signed a contract with Petkim Spor, the pro basketball league in Turkiye, on July 21.

Hopefully he can get the playing time needed to get back into the NBA game in a year or two.

Very happy for Max as he spent 2 years in the GLeague to give it a shot. Best now to go overseas and put some $$ in the bank. 

Always a good deal as usually the teams pay for the housing and a car so he can save a good amount and shorter season as well.

I have watched some of Max's games this summer. He is such an unselfish player in a predominately selfish league. Due to his lack of height it appears an NBA team is unwilling to sign him. In the era of John Stockton and the "mailman" Karl Malone Max might have stood a good chance of having a prolific NBA career. The game has changed and what Max offers is old school. Max is smart, disciplined and has great character which will bode him well overseas. We can all expect a miracle and hope his game elevates to a point where an NBA team has got to sign him. Go Max we love you!!

Max is head and shoulders above every player in the NBA (in my opinion). With his character, talent, faith, and work ethic--not to mention his intelligence--he is going to succeed at whatever he puts his hands to. God will use him in amazing ways, I just know it!

It's only a good deal if they are offering Max at least a two-way contract to return from Turkiye.  It's a trade from one G-League team to another G-League team, so San Diego may be wanting to sweeten a deal to get him back to the US.  The money won't be the same than playing overseas, so it would have to be the fact that he would prefer San Diego to Izmir.
