Caleb Green and Ken Tutt combined for 42 points in ORU's 85-60 victory over Division II Central Oklahoma in exhibition action in front of 1,960 (sic - should read 3,960) fans Saturday night.

Green was 7-of-11 from the field and 12-of-16 from the free-throw line to lead the way with 26 points. Tutt finished 6-of-7 from the field and 3-for-3 on 3-pointers for 16 points.

"It was a balanced performance from Caleb and Ken," ORU coach Scott Sutton said. "They had trouble guarding Caleb, much like teams we will have this season. He's a great player and a great weapon for us because teams have to focus on him.

"Ken was terrific again, especially in the first half. The only shot he misses was the easiest one all night, the runner at the end of the first half. Those guys just continue to get better."

The Golden Eagles had everything clicking in the first half. Fourteen of the 18 field goals came on assists, a statistic that pleased Sutton.

"We played well together in the first half," Sutton said. "The 14 assists on 18 field goals was tremendous. We shared the basketball, and guys made some very unselfish plays."

Despite drawing double and, at times, triple-team

coverage, Green scored with ease.

"It was fun tonight, especially for the young guys like Chello (Marchello Vealy) and (Sylvester) Spicer," Green said. "It's good for them to experience this and get used to some stuff."

Kentrell Gaddis and Morgan Williams paced Central Oklahoma with 13 and 10 points.

For ORU, Larry Owens and Jonathan Bluitt chipped in nine points each and Eric Fowlkes added seven.

Vealy, of Oklahoma City Southeast, got his first taste of college ball with three blocks and four points in 20 minutes.

"Marchello brought a lot of energy, especially in the second half," Sutton said. "He's a really good shooter, but he didn't shoot as he has in practice. He's a guy who will have a huge impact on this team."

ORU had 20 turnovers in the game, 11 in the first half.

"A lot of them were just careless," Sutton said. "I expected us to have some careless turnovers."
