MrsSmith Posted November 27, 2006 Share Posted November 27, 2006 The Oral Roberts University volleyball team will head to Fayetteville, Ark., for NCAA Tournament play as a part of the Honolulu, Hawaii Regional, it was announced Sunday afternoon. The Golden Eagles will face the #13 national seed Oklahoma in first round action on Friday. Missouri State and host Arkansas will also face off on Friday with the two match winners meeting on Saturday for the right to advance to Honolulu for the Sweet 16. GO EAGLES!! Bogus Smith Posted November 28, 2006 Share Posted November 28, 2006 OU handily beat ORU in early September, 18-30, 20-30, 27-30. At least they didn't give up and made the third game much more competitive. orustatboy Posted November 28, 2006 Share Posted November 28, 2006 That OU loss was the turning point in the Golden Eagles season ... they won 24 of 26 matches after that night. Plus Jackie Oliveira (our #2 offensive weapon) didn't play due to injury. Even if we don't win on Friday, it won't be such an easy sweep.
