theeagleman5
These mid week games vs. Power 5 teams are sooooo important to ORU...i know that goes without saying but saying it anyway.....Good Guys need a win at JLJ tonight in front of what should be a large crowd with a heavy Sooner undertone......TheEagleman is hoping that Grip, OT, and OKCEagle are out there loud and rockin'.....GO BLUE!!! As important as our mid-week P5 games are for preparing ourselves for the post season and for publicity to remain relevant in the region, our most important games are played on the weekends. Our winning of the Summit League and its post-season tournament gets us to the national stage of college baseball.

Well-l-l-l, these midweek games MIGHT have mattered more for regional seeding purposes, if ORU had not been swept by Dallas Baptist last month. ORU is now likely a 4-seed in whatever regional they might play; beating an OU or an OSU could still help prevent a first-game against one of the top 8 seeds bracketed to host Super Regionals. 1
OKC Eagle
I was at ORU for 4 years and OU Law for 3 years. Let’s say 2 runs per year and ORU will win 8-6. crowd starting to fill in better. OU already drawing blood in the first.

Old Titan
Worst 9-inning game I've suffered through at Beautiful J.L. in a long, long time. Simply could not figure out the OU starting pitcher for over six innings (a solo homer the only run surrendered until the seventh), while the Sooners battered ORU pitching for 17 hits, none of them cheap. Certainly no fear of over-confidence heading up to Omaha this weekend...
theeagleman5
12-2 is totally embarrassing especially at JLJ in front of a big crowd.......guess the Good Guys were overdue for a stinker but against OU at home???....ouch!!....
theeagleman5
ORU may have gotten rolled last night vs. Power 5 competition but then there is lowly Elon....beaten last month by #2 Wake Forest 20-0....the Phoenix came into last night's home game with determination and rallied from behind to beat the Deacons 5-3.......yeah, Elon!! Hey there, go easy on Elon. My father went there in the 50's when they were still known as the Fighting Christians Thankfully he is walking the streets of heaven and didn't have to see this score in the sports page.
