Good pitching, good hitting, and a poor opponent make for a sweep of a three-game series. The Eagles are now 20-9, with a two-game lead over Omaha in the Summit League standings. It is important to get the Summit League baseball tournament returned to JL Johnson Stadium in 2024. Next up, the Sooners come to Tulsa. theeagleman5 Posted April 2, 2023 Share Posted April 2, 2023 Nice sweep of WIU and TheEagleman notes that Cade Denton got a couple innings of work in late.....hoping he is still ready for another inning or two on Tuesday Night vs. OU....big series next weekend at Omaha.....would be nice to see the Good Guys put some distance between us and 2nd place....at least 2 of 3.....Congrats to the Good Guys this weekend!! Although NDSU is two games back of ORU, the Golden Eagles have played two "bottom-feeders" at home, and did exactly what they needed to do - sweep! Meanwhile, the Bizon have been impressive in winning both of their Summit series (2-1) against two contenders (SDSU and Omaha), and both on the road.
