Mills has built a much different team in Shocker land then he had at ORU.  They struggle shooting 3s but rebound well, which is opposite of his Eagles's team. Early on WSU beat some decent teams: St. Louis, Minnestoa, and K-State but since conference play began, they have fallen apart.  It looks like they are lost on defense the last 5-6 games.  He still has time to turn it around but if this continues then Mills might be looking for an assistant job at Big 12 school next year.

Anyone listen to any of his press conferences?  I wonder if he is impressing the Shocker faithful with his mathematical wizardry analyzing games.  You remember "There are between x and y possessions in a basketball game.  If you can do fill in the blank in just 23% of those you can increase your chance of winning by Z% and that's what we stress in practice."   If he is, I doubt they care.  '

Wichita State is struggling in conference, I believe 1-5. Being a head coach is not for the faint of heart. In Mills case he is being compensated well though.

It may not be THAT bad, but it will not sit well with the Shocker faithful (obviously)!  Allowing TU to beat WSU at the Koch will be worse.

One disgruntled Shocker fan said that since it was already in Tulsa, the team bus should have headed south and dumped Mills in the Mabee Center parking lot, to either stay put or find his own way back to Wichita.
