Kane in the hunt for success

"Kaner" made the cut!  Another round of 71 on Friday put him tied for 32nd at 2-under-par for the tournament, with the projected cut line at even par.  What a performance 14 years removed from the PGA Tour!  Jim was just here in February, when he was inducted into the ORU Athletic Hall of Fame - he told some pretty funny stories at the Golden Eagle Club pre-game dinner at the Mabee Center that night.  Great guy, great story...

For some reason, the link from Doc referencing the "Hunt For Success" article by John Klein from Friday morning's World wasn't working for me, so here's another link:

Klein appears to be reporting directly from the tournament in the Chicago suburbs - he and Kane are old friends from when Kane played at ORU in the early 80's...

Kane finished dead last among those making the cut, with a +13 over four rounds.  Still, it was a great story, and I'm happy for his success this weekend.
