Otis 83
TCU just pulled ahead 4-3 in the bottom of the 5th. They’ve got a dog fight on their hands.
Otis 83
Ragin’ Cajuns up 6-4 going into the 7th. Assuming our boys are tucked in their beds. Hoping this game continues at a slow pace. A number of two out hits are elongating this game.
Otis 83
This Louisiana pitcher is a hoot. He’s talking to himself like Mark Fidrych. He’s got himself pumped and the Horn frogs guessing.
ManiacAlum
Man, there's no sport like baseball where missed opportunities and mistakes directly lead to something negative. I think both their homers came with the previous batter getting 2-out hits. And the bunt pop-up in the 2nd probably erased one more run even with the double play right after. Feels like that gave them a lot of momentum even though we had the lead. But that's ok! A&M is a good team and has some guys that can really hit. Best thing is we get right back after it tomorrow. Was really impressed by Smith and his pitching to contact and situation.
MrsSmith
TCU loses 7-6 so we will meet them tomorrow.

TrueBlue82
On day one, #4 seeds went 0-14, with two rainouts. #3 seeds finished 8-7 against the #2 seeds (playing on a neutral field). This highlights a real challenge for the ORU baseball program. To be competitive in this tournament, ORU needs to find a way to earn at least a #3 seed. And, with the current makeup of the Summit League, that’s simply not going to happen. 1
theeagleman5
Good Guys will need a huge effort from Isaac Coffey today....along with some timely hitting....2 runs won't get it done....
eagle88
Such a hard hole to dig out of but anything is possible! Expect a miracle!
EagleManiac
Coffey looking strong. Beichler is going to be on Top 10 again with an incredible diving catch to save a run in the 1st.
Otis 83
For the second day in a row the Golden Eagles are getting props and respect from the ESPN broadcast crew. They are very complimentary of Coffey today.

Conner Beichler has become one of, if not the best defensive centerfielders in the country, that catch today was incredible and will absolutely make ESPN sports centers top 10!! 1-1 in the 6th, lets go Eagles!!!! TrueBlue82
The dreaded “two and BBQ” in the College Station Regional. ORU had SO many chances (1-19 with RISP for the tourney), but couldn’t find that timely hit. The loss overshadows some great individual performances by Ledgend Smith, Isaac Coffey, Cade Denton and Connor Beichler (who should definitely be on the Sportscenter Top Ten). No one on the current roster had played in a NCAA regional in an ORU uniform, and the inexperience was telling. Props to the team for a great effort - and let’s get back again next year. 1
theeagleman5
Great pitching today by Coffey and Denton.....and some leather also.....but 3 runs in 2 games and 1-19 with RISP just doesn't come close to getting it done....ORU was competitive against a pair of top 25 teams but Good Guys just don't have the horses to beat top echelon programs like A&M and TCU.......maybe next year?..... ManiacAlum
Well we battled at least, especially for a team with no tournament experience. Looking at some of these scores, sounds like a lot of the lower seeds visited the woodshed before firing up the BBQ. SE LA, Hofstra, LIU and tourney newcomer Coppin St. combined to surrender a whopping 121 runs in their 8 games.
eagle88
Our pitching showed up but not our bats. I wonder how many guys will return next year? Definitely a good season and something we can build on!
