ORUTerry
The NIL rules have basically brought payments to student athletes on top of the table. Larger schools with a corresponding larger alumni base can offer higher levels of NIL. Now SEC schools are stepping in directly to handle/facilitate NIL transactions for their athletes - removing the fig leaf of only boosters/alumni handling these deals.
eagle88
Well said Terry! This seems to be happening in many segments of our society. For instance try to put in office a truly qualified candidate that loves our country but does not have deep pockets. Ain't happening! Unfortunately the same thing is happening in sports. Here is the positive as i see it. As long as ORU keeps strong morals and ethics we have intangibles that can work in our favor. Look how many athletes Coach Mills kept this year in spite of the NIL. Let's continue to be a light!
