As of Thursday morning (3/31), there are 1,022 players in the transfer portal.

That is a crazy number, when we consider the final four and NIT are still going on. The season is not even completely over!

So far there has not been many big name players in the transfer portal this year, besides a few good mid major guys. ORU’s options for transfers: take someone who sat at the end of the bench at a Power 5 school or go after a mid major player who has long term potential.

We have been focusing a lot on ORU signing a transfer but according to Verbal Commits the Eagles have offered 15 players at the high school level. So they still might sign some freshman in this year’s recruiting class.

Of the 1034 players in the transfer portal, 77 are 4-5 stars.

Would not be surprised if LSU went on a post season ban or other discipline action and that is why everyone is running for the hills!

It looks like players in college basketball only have until May 1st to transfer. Also, if it is their first time transferring or a graduate transfer then they are immediately eligible. Otherwise if it is a 2nd transfer or more then they must sit out a year. A little confusing but hopefully that makes sense.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Plet transfer to Arkansas Pine Bluff and play for Coach Solo who recruited him at ORU.

Nothing against the guys who transferred but so far ORU has kept its core group intact and basically only lost end of the bench type players. Still a month to go but so far so good.

So now I am guessing that the Eagles have two scholarships available. Boone would be a good pickup but then Sir Isaac would basically sit on the bench. He would probably take his minutes.

Good to see Mills has been in contact with Keylan. If (like the article says) Boone wants to be a 28 minute+ 3 and D guy ORU would be a great fit for him.

I had assumed Plet was a Springmann recruit since he is DMV area guy and Coach Springmann has roots there.

Denver adds a 4th transfer: Johnson    (isn't this the kid who lit us up when we played in Denver?)
