According to his stats, he also averages 4 assists a game.  So, he can not only score but is a solid point guard.  Even after Max is gone, the point guard position should be in good hands.

His final stats in his senior year of high school basketball were: 14 points, 3 assists, and 2 rebounds. Solid numbers but nothing really stands out.  He can score and an ok passer.   Cam is ranked as the 19th best player in Texas high school basketball.

If he is a top 20 player in the state of TX he is a take all day. If ORU can get one of those each year that would be a very good thing.

If you watch the YouTube video that Ting posted above you will see him against Duncanville in 1rst highlights. That is the #1 in the nation this year and he doesn't look overmatched in that game.  Not saying he can step right in and play a lot of minutes but he can definitely play at this level.

So glad to see this posted. I have long thought that there must be hundreds of moms and dads who have sons and daughters who are D1 level athletes that they (parents) would be thrilled to have their kid(s) attend ORU. They will have the experience of playing sport at a very high level, receive great coaching, train in fantastic facilities, receive a first class education and be nurtured in their faith. I am so glad that schools like ORU (Liberty, Grand Canyon and Abilene Christian as well) are promoting and improving their athletic departments while staying true to their schools founding purpose and values. In this world where the vast majority of schools seem to oppose BIblically-based values, I believe universities like ORU will find many families seeking out places that will walk alongside them as they entrust their 18+ year olds to the care of educators and coaches who will influence their children.

I'm just wondering how far she's walking from her hotel to the campus, because the old Hilton across the street from the Mabee Center has been closed for quite awhile.  The Marriott at 71st & Lewis?  That's a pretty good hike for Tulsa in August.  Maybe the RiverSpirit Casino?

Regardless, always great to hear from the parents of the players!

I appreciate that Coach Mills has consistently recruited good basketball players who also seem to appreciate the uniqueness and value of ORU.

Mom's a former basketball player and could probably be a good addition to the Aerobic Center lunch group that plays.  It's moms like her that keeps the protection over the University and fulfills our mission.
