I also read on the ORU site that the team has the #1 overall time in the world right now. Way to go Coach Dial, Coach Alick and the track program!!!!! From the ORU website . . . Philadelphia, Penn.- The Oral Roberts University 4x800 meter relay team captured its first ever championship at the Penn Relays on Saturday afternoon at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, Penn. The 4x800 meter relay ran a combined time of 7:18.74, besting second place Villanova and third place Azusa Pacific, who ran times of 7:19.06 and 7:23.85. Adrian Foster started to Golden Eagles off strong, leading off with a time of 1:53.2. Foster then handed off to Shaun Smith, who split a time of 1:45.9. James Wanjiku ran the third leg of the relay, turning in a time of 1:51.6 before handing off to indoor all-american Prince Mumba who anchored the relay with a time of 1:48.00. The Golden Eagles return to action May 11-13 at the Mid-Continent Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The event will be hosted by Western Illinois in Macomb, Ill.
