Field of 64 - May 11

D1baseball.com has ORU as the #64 seeded team in the NCAA regional projected field for this week, playing #1 seed Arkansas.  The placement in the Fayetteville regional is primarily due to the proximity of the host school; however, they are placing us there with OSU and Nebraska.  The last time we were in a regional with U of A and OSU, we went on to the Super Regional with a 3-0 record in the regional.  Could fate be on our side again?  Could we pull a second "Sweet 16" in one year?  We have beaten all three of the teams in a projected regional like this.  Anything is possible....that is why they play the game!!

Just winning the tournament in Omaha would be nice...

And, as much as I hate hearing those Hogs called, getting sent to Fayetteville sure beats some SEC or PAC10 school that's 500 miles away.

Come to think of it, with COVID still such a big thing on both coasts, I'll bet there's an inordinate number of regional sites in the South and in Texas this season, in venues that are willing to accommodate at least a percentage of fans.

One thing at a time....ORU still needs to win the regular season and clinch home advantage for 2022 Summit Tournament....then we have to go to Omaha and win the bid....not gonna be an easy task.....the four games in Omaha this weekend are HUGE!!!...:tb-white:
