titansforever Posted April 29, 2021 Share Posted April 29, 2021 According to the e-mail we got today, yes; they're on: TULSA, Okla. - After having their past five games canceled, the Oral Roberts baseball team will return to action at home against South Dakota State this weekend. The Golden Eagles look to remain atop the Summit League standings as the team enters the final month of the regular season. After a slight change to the schedule, the Golden Eagles and Jackrabbits will play a doubleheader on Saturday, and single games on Friday and Sunday. theeagleman5 Posted May 1, 2021 Author Share Posted May 1, 2021 ORU routs the Jacks in Game One by 14-4.....great pitching from Weber and Swift.....McMurray and Cash are a combined 9 for 9 at the plate....and a grand slam by Adam Oviedo ....DH this afternoon at JLJ.....all of these games are huge for the first place Golden Eagles....Omaha is just a game behind us.......Go BLUE!!! theeagleman5 Posted May 1, 2021 Author Share Posted May 1, 2021 Yeah, ORU gets game one today.....6-2.....3 RBI for McMurray and good pitching from Kowalski, Denton and Scoggins....Good Guys can clinch the series with a win in game 2 starting in a few minutes.....ORU record now an even 18-18 and still in first place in the Summit.....GO BLUE!!! theeagleman5 Posted May 2, 2021 Author Share Posted May 2, 2021 ORU gets the sweep and clinches the series with a 1-0 win in the nightcap thanks to a 4 hit shutout by Isaac Coffey.....Denny singled in the only run in the home 6th......Golden Eagles now 19-18 on the season and can sweep on Sunday afternoon.....would be real nice.....GO BLUE! theeagleman5 Posted May 2, 2021 Author Share Posted May 2, 2021 ORU rolls to the sweep at JLJ this afternoon with a 9-0 victory....so for the weekend the Good Guys scored 30 runs and gave up 6.....today we got six 2 hit innings from Matt Gaskins and then the bullpen cleaned up the final 3 inn. giving up just 1 hit....Ryan Cash had 2 hits and 3 RBI to lead the home team at the plate.....ORU now 20-18 (11-4) and remains 1/2 game ahead of Omaha in the Summit standings.....that makes 5 wins in a row with last place WIU coming to Tulsa next weekend.....
